5 Things

I was tagged ages ago to post 5 things that you probably didn't know about me. I only sometimes respond when I've been tagged, and I really don't feel like tagging anyone else. But if you really wish I had tagged you, just go ahead and consider yourself tagged. So here are my 5 things...

1. I have been to see Frank Mills in concert. Yes, that's right....Frank Mills. The music box dancer guy! Cyndi took me years ago when he came to Regina. We actually had fun there, mostly giggling at Frank and the other people who were there to see him. He is a fabulous musician, but had the corniest jokes. And Cyndi and I were the youngest people there by about 40 years.

2. I love eating 2 things that repulse a lot of people...oysters and snails. In playschool, when asked what my favourite food was, I told them "escargot"!

3. I was on a softball team when I was in elementary/jr. high school, but I haven't thrown a ball for about 5 years.

4. The first thing I did when I walked out of the Vancouver airport this summer was slip and fall on the pavement. Apparently Old Navy flip flops and damp Vancouver pavement don't mix. I just happened to fall right in front of a bus...so I really put on a spectacular show for those people. I was slightly embarassed, and my brother was extremely embarassed. I just happened to be wearing white shorts that day, and curiously, there wasn't a speck of dirt on them. Later that night I broke out in hives on my legs...not sure if the two incidents are related...

5. I have lived with 3 people whom you will find in my links to the right..."Kelle's Musings" (almost 3 years, I think?), "Zim Zen" (one year), "eek" (2 years in the dorm at Bible college). If you would like to find a husband and get married, just come live with me as all 5 of my roommates are now married (and I'm not, if you were wondering)!

MMMM Escargot... I don't think I've had them in over a year, but the ones I had were good. I made them for some friends just before leaving Capernwray. My friend Guillaume (the frenchest of young frenchmen) ate about 30 of them in one sitting and they were the big ones!! Yes, I may have made too much that night...
Anyway, what I really wanted to say is - let's get together and eat snails together sometime, shall we??

I'm just trying to picture you on a softball team! It's much like trying to picture ME on a softball team...or running or even moving quickly for that matter.

Hey, we should start running beside each other on the treadmills at the gym...er not.

I love #4 by the way! That's quite funny that your shorts remained unscathed!! I'm glad the bus didn't run you over...

it's a yes to snails, shinbone #4, and a no to the treadmill t. i hate running so i stick with the elliptical...kind of like running but better. you can guess that when i played softball, my favourite thing to do was bash the ball, but i was reluctant to run around the bases

I too, have been to see Frank Mills. And I've been trying to remember his name for months because I was trying to tell someone the story of my seeing Frank Mills. I saw him in Edmonton, but I think that our experiences were somewhat similar. Someone I was with had brought binoculars, so we spent some time scoping out the hotties in the choir behind. ;)
