Eccentricity #2

The next eccentricity on my list is how much I enjoy visiting strange landmarks and points of interest. In this picture I'm in Caroline, AB visiting my figure skating hero's arena. I suppose this really isn't too much of a quirk, but it's hard to find people who like to do the same thing! A favourite place of mine is the UFO landing pad in St. Paul, AB. I haven't been there for a few years now but it's always a good laugh (and no, I haven't yet been abducted...). Around Sylvan, there is a little town called Markerville, and there is an old creamery where they used to make butter etc. I think it's a pretty cool place...I love history and buildings that have a story behind them. I think this comes from my mom and dad. When Sean and I were kids we used to get dragged around to all sorts of museums and "historic points of interest" during our summer holidays. I know that at times we would get a little antsy, but in the end we usually enjoyed the learning. So thanks mom and dad for forcing us to get some culture and appreciate history!

Dags, I, too, love seeing things like historic points of interest or just interesting buildings. My parents used to drags my sisters and I to things like that too on our summer holidays. I always thought it was interesting (ok, maybe not all the time, but for the most part I did).

We should tell Toyota about you and maybe you could make some extra cash on the side doing commercials for that "Discover Canada" campaign! I'm serious Dags..your commercials would be WAY better than the ones they have going right now for it.

When I think of exploring my first thoughts are not of Canada...but you're right there are so many little treasures to see. Maybe we'll discover somemore when C&T come out (and make more videos of Tony rapping). T.

Hey Kelly, I read your blog once in a while and decided I should leave you a message. Did you know that Regina has lots of points of interests? You should come see some of them again! Wascana Lake is beautiful right now (what am I talking about, you live in Sylvan - never mind!)
